Woman's Missionary Union (WMU)

The WMU members at Farmdale Baptist Church:
Teach missions
Engage in mission action
Support missions through prayer and giving
Provide information regarding the church and the denomination

Since its beginning in 1888, the Women’s Missionary Union has been true to its basic purpose: missions.
WMU supports the Southern Baptist Convention and its International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.

Jesus told his followers to go and share the Gospel (see Matthew 28:19-20). Missions means obeying these words of Jesus.
WMU wants to help all believers share the Gospel in their communities, in the nation and around the world.

The Baptist Mighty Women is a missions organization at Farmdale for women (ages 18 and up) through which they:
Pray for and give to missions
Do missions and learn about missions
Grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
And participate in the work of the church and the denomination.
